Inaugural function of PM-YUVA YOJANA @ JCET.

In order to promote and encourage budding entrepreneurs, JAWAHARLAL COLLEGE OF
ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY has collaborated with PM-YUVA YOJANA, the
flagship scheme of the Ministry of Skill development & Entrepreneurship, Government of India.
PM-YUVA YOJANA aims to create an enabling ecosystem for entrepreneurship development
through entrepreneurship education & training, advocacy, and easy access to entrepreneurship
network. The project also aims to promote development of social enterprises for inclusive
growth. The project will be implemented in collaboration with Wadhwani Foundation, a
California (USA) based non-profit public benefit corporation for duration of five years.
The programme has four courses in which the first course, ‘WFNEN 100 Orientation Program in
Entrepreneurship (Orientation)’ was inaugurated on 08/02/18. Venue- Seminar hall, Academic
block, JCET
The inaugural function started by observing a one minute silence in honour of late P.K. Das,
Founder Chairman, NGI, followed by a silent prayer.
Welcome speech was delivered by Dr. K Umesha, Vice Principal and head of Electrical and
Electronics department, JCET.
Dr. V P Sukumaran Nair, Principal, JCET inaugurated the programme by logging in to the web
portal https://learnwise.org.
Prof. K Venugopal, Head of Electronics and Communication Engineering, and Prof. Rajendran
Kappat, Professor, Dept. Of Mechanical Engineering falicitated the gathering.
Mr. Sreekumar P R, Asst. Professor proposed the vote of thanks.
