REPORT ON FIVE DAY ADD-ON COURSE DATA ANALYTICS AND BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE

Department of MBA , Jawaharlal College of Engineering and Technology (Autonomous), organized a five-day offline Add-On Course on “Data Analytics & Business Intelligence” for MBA students, in collaboration with the ICT Academy of Kerala (ICTAK).

The program aligned with the department’s objective to equip MBA students with industry-relevant analytical skills using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, SPSS, and MS Excel.

Inaugural ceremony

The inaugural ceremony of the five-day Add-on Course on Data Analytics and Business Intelligence, organized by Jawaharlal Business School in association with the ICT Academy of Kerala, was held with great enthusiasm and academic spirit. The event commenced with a moment of solemn silent prayer, followed by the introductory remarks delivered by the Master of Ceremony.

Dr. Shiny C. M., Head of the Department of MBA, formally welcomed the gathering and provided an insightful overview of the objectives and structure of the training program. Her address highlighted the importance of equipping MBA students with analytical competencies to meet the evolving industry expectations. The inauguration was then ceremonially conducted by the Principal, Dr. N. Gunasekaran, whose inspiring message emphasized the institution’s commitment to enhancing student employability through skill-oriented professional training. His words set a positive tone for the program, reaffirming the relevance of data-driven decision-making in contemporary business environments

Following the inaugural address, Dr. Kana Sukumaran, Director of Management Studies, delivered a meaningful felicitation, appreciating the department’s initiative and encouraging students to make the most of the opportunity. The ceremony also featured the formal introduction of the expert trainers from ICTAK—Mr. Arjun R. K., Project Coordinator and Trainer, and Mr. Jishnu Unni C., Knowledge Officer and Corporate Trainer—both of whom bring strong academic backgrounds and extensive hands-on experience in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, and emerging technologies. Their profiles were introduced to familiarize students with the expertise guiding the sessions. The event concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Mr. Ranjith R., Faculty Coordinator, who expressed gratitude to the management, ICTAK, faculty members, and students for their wholehearted support in making the inaugural ceremony a success.
