First Academic Council Meeting

Jawahar College of Engineering and Technology (JCET) held its first Academic Council Meeting on October 17, 2024, following the conferment of autonomous status by UGC and KTU. The meeting was attended by distinguished dignitaries, including Adv. Dr. P. Krishnadas, Chairman & Managing Trustee (NGI), Prof. Dr. N. Gunasekaran, Principal, JCET, Dr. Murali Mohanan, Assoc. Prof, Model Engg College, Dr. Resmi G & Dr. Sindhu R from NSS College Engineering, Palakkad, and other industry experts. During the meeting, the curriculum and syllabi for BTech, M.Tech, and MBA programs were approved, and the regulations for undergraduate and postgraduate programs were discussed in detail. Mr. PK Vasisht, Unit Head- Instrumentations Ltd, emphasized the need for focusing on Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics and core skill development of engineers. The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Shine K, HoD/Mech and Director IQAC, marking a significant step towards constructive actions for student development.
