Jawaharlal Business School at JCET is an intergal part of Jawaharlal College of Engineering and Technology(JCET) , which functions under the reputed Nehru Group of Institutions operating in Tamil Nadu and Kerala. It offers a two-year full-time MBA programme (four semesters) Affiliated to APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University.

Modern, state-of-the-art, air-conditioned classrooms provide a multimedia learning environment. Facilities include amphitheatre-style seating, audio systems, a lectern, LCD projectors, and Wi-Fi. All classrooms are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness.
An MBA library, located adjacent to the classrooms, houses a collection of over 8,000 book titles. This is supplemented by a larger reference library on campus. The library provides access to important national and international journals, reading space for 60 students, all major newspapers, and computer terminals for internet access. Each student receives an individual subscription to a business newspaper, and student-led news analysis sessions are conducted twice a week.
JBS has access to three air-conditioned conference halls equipped with audio systems, LCD projectors, and digital boards for guest lectures, seminars, and management meetings. In addition, a well-equipped assembly hall is available for student presentations.

Dr.K.S.Sreejamol , Assistant Professor, Jawaharlal Business School @ JCET was invited as a guest speaker in Apollo Arts & Science College, Chennai on “Blue Ocean Strategy”. The concept conceived of a new way for companies to drive profitable growth: by creating uncontested market spaces (blue oceans) where the competition is irrelevant, instead of fighting it out in overcrowded, commoditized industries (red oceans).
Dr.Ashokan.C , HOD of Jawaharlal Business School @ JCET was invited as a guest speaker in Cheran Academy for the panel discussion on “Value Based Education”. He argued that value education is very important for everyone as it explains what value each individual has to inculcate. The major objective of the classes was to act like a reminder to be sure that we have the right thinking and to bring back to track our thoughts.
Dr. Sreejamol K S has done her research work on “A study on Consumer Perception about Weather Based Crop Insurance Scheme in Palakkad District” . She was awarded Ph.D on the above mentioned topic on 19th October 2020 from Bharathiar University, Tamil Nadu.

Department of MBA , Jawaharlal College of Engineering and Technology (Autonomous), organized a five-day offline Add-On Course on “Data Analytics & Business Intelligence” for MBA students, in collaboration with the ICT Academy of Kerala (ICTAK).
The program aligned with the department’s objective to equip MBA students with industry-relevant analytical skills using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, SPSS, and MS Excel.
The inaugural ceremony of the five-day Add-on Course on Data Analytics and Business Intelligence, organized by Jawaharlal Business School in association with the ICT Academy of Kerala, was held with great enthusiasm and academic spirit. The event commenced with a moment of solemn silent prayer, followed by the introductory remarks delivered by the Master of Ceremony.
Dr. Shiny C. M., Head of the Department of MBA, formally welcomed the gathering and provided an insightful overview of the objectives and structure of the training program. Her address highlighted the importance of equipping MBA students with analytical competencies to meet the evolving industry expectations. The inauguration was then ceremonially conducted by the Principal, Dr. N. Gunasekaran, whose inspiring message emphasized the institution’s commitment to enhancing student employability through skill-oriented professional training. His words set a positive tone for the program, reaffirming the relevance of data-driven decision-making in contemporary business environments
Following the inaugural address, Dr. Kana Sukumaran, Director of Management Studies, delivered a meaningful felicitation, appreciating the department’s initiative and encouraging students to make the most of the opportunity. The ceremony also featured the formal introduction of the expert trainers from ICTAK—Mr. Arjun R. K., Project Coordinator and Trainer, and Mr. Jishnu Unni C., Knowledge Officer and Corporate Trainer—both of whom bring strong academic backgrounds and extensive hands-on experience in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, and emerging technologies. Their profiles were introduced to familiarize students with the expertise guiding the sessions. The event concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Mr. Ranjith R., Faculty Coordinator, who expressed gratitude to the management, ICTAK, faculty members, and students for their wholehearted support in making the inaugural ceremony a success. Students were guided through sorting and filtering data, using alignment and style tools, formatting cells, applying basic formulas, and working with functions such as SUM and Autofill. The session enabled students to understand the role of Excel in business problem-solving and prepared them to work confidently with structured datasets. The day concluded with hands-on exercises that allowed participants to practice the topics demonstrated during the training.

The concluding discussions highlighted how each tool—Excel, Power BI, Tableau, and SPSS—serves unique purposes in the analytics ecosystem. With this, the five-day program successfully concluded, equipping students with multi-tool competency and significantly enhancing their analytical readiness for academic projects, internships, and future employment opportunities.
