Career Conclave 2026 Held at JCET to Inspire Engineering Students

The Department of Mechanical Engineering at Jawaharlal College of Engineering and Technology (JCET), Lakkidi, organized Career Conclave 2026 on Tuesday with the theme "Bridging Education & Career Excellence and Turning Aspirations to Achievements." The programme aimed to guide engineering students on career opportunities, industry expectations, and skill development. The conclave was inaugurated in the presence of eminent academicians and industry experts. Dr. N. Gunasekaran, Principal, JCET, delivered the welcome address. The programme began with a silent prayer in memory of the institution's founder chairman, Late Shri P. K. Das, followed by the traditional lighting of the lamp.
The Chief Guest, Dr. Ravindra Naik, Principal Scientist and Head of ICAR Central Institute of Agricultural Engineering, Coimbatore, addressed the gathering and emphasized the importance of innovation, research, and industry-oriented learning in shaping successful engineering careers.
The event featured an engaging panel discussion with distinguished industry professionals, including Mr. K. P. Ravichandar, Director, DMW CNC Solutions India Pvt. Ltd. and CEO, DMW CNC Centre, Erode; Mr. K. Parivallal, Director, DMW CNC Solutions India Pvt. Ltd., Erode; Mr. Lomin Joy V., Senior Project Engineer, IIT Palakkad and Co-founder of SAEDEGI AI Automation; Mr. Vikas Gopinath, Chief Academic Operations, Avanzo Academy & Cyber Security Solutions, Kerala; and Mr. Manu Mamachan, Team Lead LXD, Aetovative Technologies Pvt. Ltd., Kozhikode.
The experts shared valuable insights on emerging technologies, industrial trends, employability skills, and career planning, encouraging students to enhance their technical knowledge and professional competencies.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Dr. Leo Dev Wins K, Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, JCET.
